Your Alchemist

My Name is Rebecca and I have found my most authentic self through the alchemy of meditation, contemplation, and self-examination.

By trade, I am a high school teacher, and I would be doing myself a dishonor if I didn’t add: and a damn good one.

It was through teaching high school, writing social skills curriculum, and seeing the soul in each of my students that lead me to mindfulness. It is these very experiences that have given me the confidence to become a mindfulness coach through all of life transitions.

In my attempt to bring more growth to my students through mindfulness I decided to get a masters degree in mindfulness at Lesley University. And what I found was more presence, compassion, acceptance, and more me… the me I had always longed to be.

I also found it difficult to bring mindfulness to my students as freely as I would have liked, so I created MindfulYou in order to do just that. To teach and guide the experience of mindfulness to those who are looking to be guided through transformation into your whole self. I’m not going to lie, it can be a dark and difficult process. But it is only through having the courage to sit with discomfort that you can get there.

You can’t go around it, you gotta go through it.

I’m not for everyone. I bring a blunt and authentic approach to my teaching. I will be real with you. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows with me and you must vibe with sarcasm and be able to laugh at yourself to work with me.

Quiet the mind and the soul will speak.

Grow with Me

Mindful Blog

I like to write. What I write is in service to me and it may be true that it’s also in service to you. Follow me on my imperfect journey of personal growth through mindfulness and other related adventures.

Meditation

Meditation is a practice. It can be effective alone, but nothing compares to having a teacher guide you to begin your practice and through the constant flow of life transitions.

Yoga

Yoga is like meditation in movement. Through somatic proprioception we can begin to move our big and small traumas through the body to become more in alignment in mind, body, and soul.

Reiki

Reiki is vital life force energy. We all have Reiki within us. As a Reiki Practitioner I use intention and my focused awareness practice to help guide the energy to just where it is most needed for you

Integrative Mindfulness

Individualized 1:1 teachings of Mindfulness and Meditation designed for your unique present moment life. With opportunities to incorporate yoga and reiki.

Don’t take my word for it

“I contacted Rebecca when one of my children was struggling with anxiety but decided that my whole family would benefit from acquiring tools for mindfulness. I had some pretty specific issues and points that I was hoping she could address. She made sure that our mindfulness lessons and yoga were tailored to our family's needs. She even focused the yoga instruction to help with some physical problem areas we had as well. She asked great questions during the intake consult that helped us set the course and I could tell from week to week that she took a lot of time in planning the content for our sessions. I couldn't help but be impressed by how knowledgeable she is. Her approach was very interactive and delivered in a beautiful way so that my husband and I, and our children could understand. We looked forward to these sessions every week and even my indifferent teenager participated. He really appreciated that even when he wasn't into it, she was OK with that and still helped coach him along anyway. The sessions were worth every cent and I cannot express the value her instruction was to us all. We noticed major progress in all of the problem areas we wanted addressed. Her mindfulness training has had a big impact on me and my life.”

I’ve been interested in learning more about mindfulness and how to practice it but couldn’t figure out how to start on my own. I went to a class of Becky’s to learn more and I got hooked. She showed me the tools to start my own journey to happiness. She paved the way for me to join this inviting community and because of her I strive to be the happiest I can be. With her guidance and teachings, I am now able to experience what mediation has to offer.

“Starting Sunday Sanghas with Rebecca, meditation and mindfulness was pretty new to my life. I had dabbled in a few morning routines that hadn’t stuck and was really looking for a community to help in holding me accountable. In my personal life, I had begun the healing process of some life experiences I had been brought through, so when I heard about Sangha’s with Rebecca, in a safe space such as Ellister’s Elixirs, I was feeling joy and a push to be a part of them…From the start, Rebecca met us where we were at in life, challenged us to take home our practices, and created a warming community that had me coming back for more. Every Sangha was unique as Rebecca flowed with the energy we brought. One Sunday we danced with one another and the next, we opened up with some tea to bring a sense of rest to the busy week we had all shared. As I have been a part of Sanghas with Rebecca, I have seen mindfulness intertwine to almost all areas of my life and have seen how transformative meditation is. I am blessed to have met Rebecca and feel grateful to have been a part of her community!
